0.00 of 3 votesAs of Monday 26th April 2021 Cyprus will enter a 2 week lockdown. I just got off the phone from the covid hotline and they have told me that after I spoke to them on the 8th of April they were accepting a note from the hotelier or from the villa owner for tourists and they were allowed out between the curfew hours. From Monday the tourists will be limited exactly the same as everyone else and they will have to call if they can’t send an SMS to get approval to go out once a day. They can call +35722285777 if the SMS 8998 does not work for them. For further and specific information you can call +35722285757, this is the Covid-19 information hotline in Cyprus Photo by CDC from Pexels

0.00 of 0 votesWhilst tourists have started to trickle back to Cyprus in the past week they are still required to follow the current covid-19 guidelines set out by the Cyprus government. Just like everyone else, visitors to Cyprus will be limited to two outings per day on weekdays and three on weekends of up to three hours each time. These have to be approved by sending an SMS to 8998. In the event that the SMS service does not work for the guest, they can call 0035722285777 and they will speak with an operator which will give them the approval they require for movement. Movement is also restricted to the hours between 6am and 11pm, there is currently a curfew in place between 11 pm and 6 am. The message you should send for SMS approval of an outing is as follows: X YYYYYYYYYY ZZZZ X = Reason for going out Y = Passport/ID Number Z = Post Code you are staying in Cyprus Send the message to the number 8998 and you usually get a reply within seconds that your outing has been approved. The codes to use are as follows (copied from a government form) 1. 0.00 of 0 votesNew Guidelines for UK/Cyprus New guidelines come into place for travel to and from the UK.... Cyprus is not on the UK travel ban list (red list) which means you will not have to quarantine in a hotel but you will have to self isolate. The following is copied from the UK Gov website and is correct at time of publishing: "From 15 February If you arrive in England from a country on the travel ban list (sometimes called the ‘red list’) you’ll need to self-isolate in a quarantine hotel for at least 10 days. Before you travel, you’ll need to book and pay for your hotel room and 2 COVID-19 tests to take during your stay. If you’re coming from a country not on the banned travel list, you’ll need to self-isolate at home for 10 days and book 2 COVID-19 tests."
